Former tennis world number one Ana Ivanovic has created quite a stir both on and off court at this year’s annual ASB Classic Tennis Tournament. On court she’s been formidable and off court she’s been wowing the crowds with her stunning good looks and standout fashion sense. Often what they express is membership of a particular group. Fashions are like trends. They change more quickly than the entire culture. The term 'fashion' is often used a synonym for glamour and style. Sometimes the term is used in a negative sense, to mean a 'fad'.

There are fashions in many types of human activity and ways of thinking. There are fashions in architecture the way people build houses and interior design, the way people decorate inside their houses. There are fashions for clothing. There are fashions for dance and music, and for the way people speak. There are fashions for ideas.

Fashion is more than just a designer's whim. Fashion is a reflection of a given time, socially, politically, economically, and artistically. The changing styles show just as much about history and the time period as any history book. It reflects on what people think, what they valued and how they lived. Fashion is a statement, a way of living. Fashion is used in different ways such as clothing, culture, religions etc. Clothes are not just for keeping warm!

Fashion is a way to express one's self. Many teenagers show their ideas and opinions by the way they look. They may want to look unique and individual, often to be a member of a group which looks unique. Fashion is superficial on the surface but as the outside of a person is the only bit that other people see, what they wear is meaningful. It helps people to make their first opinion of you and can influence the opinions and ideas of other people.

Navneet Kaur Dhillon is an Indian female model, winner of Pond's 50th edition of Femina Miss World India 2013 that was held in Mumbai on March 24, 2013. She belongs to Patiala, Punjab.

Being the daughter of an army officer she began with her education at Army Public School, Ambala Cantt,finally settled in Patiala to pursue base of studies,finishing her secondary education from Budha dal public school,Patiala,then choosing B tech. in TV and MEDIA from Punjabi University, Patiala and currently she resides at Salaria Vihar in Patiala . Along with modelling she shows her interest in photography, swimming, horse-riding. She is a media student in Punjabi University.

She was crowned as the Femina Miss India World 2013 on 24 March 2013. Navneet was also crowned Femina Miss Timeless Beauty. She was faced with a question of what her one regret would be if she were to die the following day, to which she very well replied as "The only thing I would regret would be not having done as much for society as I would like to. Issues of women's empowerment and child labour and other social evils are a big concern."

Navneet was born in Haryana State in Northern India, but moved across the country whilst growing up. Describing herself as a “contemporary manifestation of the new Indian woman that encompasses a mix of her traditional values with her contemporary ambitions.” These ambitions are to become a global ambassador for India, breaking into Bollywood and working alongside NGOs. Currently a student, Navneet is studying, TV & Film Production. Her hobbies include going to the theatre, horse riding and photography.

Melinder Bhullar was crowned Miss World Malaysia 2013 on August 2, 2013 at the Corus Hotel in Jalan Ampangin, Kuala Lumpur. She will represent Malaysia in the upcoming Miss World 2013 pageant, scheduled for September 28th, 2013 in Indonesia. The 21-year-old beauty from the capital city Kuala Lumpur stands 1.67 m. Maria Selena Nurcahya born September 25, 1990 in Palembang, South Sumatera is an Indonesian beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Puteri Indonesia 2011 and will represent her country in Miss Universe 2012 pageant.
