Antonella Kruger was crowned as the new 2011 Miss World Argentina during a night full of emotions. The event was held at City Center in Rosario where Argentine model Veronica Varano was the host with a jury conformed by Silvia Suárez, the winner of 1978 Miss World and the beautiful Chilean model Kenita Larrain.
Twenty-four contestants from around the country, one for each province, marched down the catwalk showing their beauty, wearing traditional costumes, showing off their curves in swimsuits, and full of glam with prom dresses. Antonella, the new Miss Argentina, got drunk with emotion when she heard her name, unable to believe what she was experiencing.
The funny thing was that at the time of the first phase, Antonella was omitted as a semifinalist and she thought it was all over in the first round. But production warned Verónica Varano about the error and the host had to review the names of those who had taken a step forward. As if it were a sign of destiny, who was missing was Antonella. Surprised about the situation, she came back on stage with a big smile. Antonella subsequently was selected among the finalists, where the representative of Santa Fe, Rocío Damiano and Salta, Camila Valdes, also dreamed with the crown. But the glory went to Miss Buenos Aires, while Salta was crowned first runner up and Santa Fe second.
