Melinder Bhullar was crowned Miss World Malaysia 2013 on August 2, 2013 at the Corus Hotel in Jalan Ampangin, Kuala Lumpur. She will represent Malaysia in the upcoming Miss World 2013 pageant, scheduled for September 28th, 2013 in Indonesia. The 21-year-old beauty from the capital city Kuala Lumpur stands 1.67 m. She is currently a Psychology student at the University of Western Australia. She is also working as a part time model. Melinder loves Dancing, Travelling, Reading and Socialising.
Melinder grew up in Kuala Lumpur before moving to Australia to study Psychology at the University of Western Australia. An “independent, outgoing and passionate young lady” Melinder has brief experience working on television, a line of work she hopes to make a successful career in. In her spare time she visits the theatre, she enjoys Traditional Malay and Classical Indian music and cinema, and her favourite food is Nasi Lemak, a Malay delicacy.
